I decided to test out the Sales Letter feature, one out of many email templates to choose from. The template asked for my target audience, what information I wanted to cover, and tone preference. After inputting the necessary information to generate a sales letter, the AI generated multiple versions of the sales letter, around five in my case. This is when the user experience started to feel a bit cluttered.
To review and compare the different versions, I had to scroll through what I then discovered to be the platform’s long-form document editor. This quickly became overwhelming as all of Hoppy Copy’s suggestions appeared in a lengthy list – I didn’t know where to begin. It would be convenient if the different suggestions were presented in a more organized and easily accessible manner, perhaps in a tabbed format or with clear navigation options. Hoppy Copy might consider showing only one idea at a time, and give its users the option to dismiss or accept a suggestion.
After some fussing about, I found that editing each version of the sales letter was possible by clicking on it and making edits right there in the editor However, the various controls at the top of the page to configure the tone, shorten, expand, and other adjustments were not as intuitive as I expected them to be.
Initially, it took me some time to locate where my output would be from using one of the features at the top of the editor. Eventually, I discovered that the output appeared below the version I was editing, and I could opt to use it. When I clicked “Use”, it appeared to me that nothing happened so I clicked it a couple more times. When I scrolled up, I found the editor had placed the new text into the letter multiple times.
Better organization in the interface and clearer guidance on how to navigate the editor would greatly enhance the overall usability of the platform. By addressing these aspects, Hoppy Copy can enhance the user experience and make it more enjoyable for the majority of people to use.
